Dog Trainer and Pet Behaviour Counsellor in Cumbria


Graham graduated in Applied Animal Behaviour from the School of Psychology at the University of Southampton. He then gained the prestigious Post-Graduate Diploma in Companion Animal Behaviour Counselling (PG Dip CABC), with Distinction, from the University of Southampton. Following research into the effects of play on the behaviour of dogs in Cumbria he gained the degree of Master of Science in Companion Animal Behaviour Counselling (MSc CABC), with Distinction, from the University of Southampton.


As a dog trainer and pet behaviour counsellor he works from his home in Cumbria with dogs from a wide range of backgrounds with an ever wider range of problem behaviours. As an experienced behaviourist, working with dogs and their owners to resolve a wide range of issues Graham offers to work with clients on a one to one basis so they receive 100% of his time and attention without distraction.


Graham is based in Ambleside in the heart of the Lake District in Cumbria, but has seen clients from all over the UK. In the Thompson household there are three dogs, Jess the collie, Molly the Labrador and Maya from Greece. There’s also a regular coming and going of rescued cats, although currently there is only Gym, who has three legs and one eye!
