Graham Thompson is dedicated to encouraging and improving the relationship between people and their pets at home and in the countryside. Through his work as a writer he is recognised as one of the most influential people in the outdoor industry. His photographer is distributed World wide through picture libraries including Getty Images. While his skills as a dog trainer and pet behaviour counsellor has allowed him to transform the lives of dogs and their owners across the UK.


Graham is the Technical Editor of Trail Magazine, Britain’s biggest selling hillwalking magazine. He has also been the Trail Hound’s News Editor of Dogs Monthly Magazine, the UK’s fastest growing canine magazine. Graham’s work also appears in various other magazines and newspapers.


He has an Msc in Companion Animal Behaviour Counselling and is a Full Member of the Association of Pet behaviour Counsellors (APBC), an ASAB Certificated Clinical Animal Behaviourist and he is an Animal Behaviour and Training Council (ABTC) Registered Clinical Animal Behaviourist. 


Humans and dogs have roamed around the hills, mountains and countryside of the world for around 15,000 years. Graham, his partner and their family of pets haven’t been around quite that long, but they all enjoy life together in Cumbria, with the Lake District fells on their doorstep.
